We have Found a Truth Living in a Book

We have found a truth living in a book,
It’s a truth that men in the world forsook,
But we know it’s true and we know its power
So we’ll live by it and we will not cower.

So we know that we have forsaken God
Didn’t think he cared, now we fear his rod.
So we’ll fight with him, turning gold to dust
As we want to rule, with the devil’s trust.

But the God of heaven had compassion on us
And he promised help and he kept his trust
We’re convinced he cares, we’re convinced he’s true
That this God is trustworthy and can save you!

We found a book, we know it’s true
It is God’s word to me and you
We will live our lives to honour him
All his words are true and trustworthy.

So we’ll teach this truth and we’ll teach it well
For it can save you from God’s wrath in hell,
And we’ll pray to God to convince your heart
Knowing you are stubborn and that he is smart
