Our Hope is in Your Name
O my Lord, I want to be Your child,
One of Your very own,
And to give my life into Your hands;
To see Your kingdom come!
And my Lord, I long to see Your face,
To bow before Your throne;
May I live my life in praise of You,
Please bring me safely home!
Where I’ll praise Your name,
Serve You without a fault,
Kept in Your love and care –
O my Lord, You’re true,
Help me to follow You,
I know that You do care!
O my Saviour, make me humble now,
In myself I’m just nothing;
May Your church grow great in praise of You,
Bring all the nations in!
Now the Lord in glory will soon come,
He’ll make the worlds anew;
Then we’ll know the King as He knows us,
And share His glory too!
So we’ll serve You here
Work for Your kingdom here,
All in Your Son’s great name;
When we work for You
We find our strength in You
Our hope is in Your name...
And the Lord will make a home for us,
A dwelling place prepare;
Do you think He’ll leave us here alone,
When He longs to take us there?
Lord I want to serve You with my life,
Work for Your kingdom here:
Though I don’t know when or where or how;
O please my work prepare!
So we’ll serve You here
