This is a modernised version of "A Debtor to Mercy Alone" by Augustus Toplady. I’d recommend using the tune Trewen for it.
My debt is to mercy alone
A mercy by cov’nant arranged
And I, with your righteousness on,
Can worship, no longer estranged.
Your anger, that’s due for my sin
Can never be spent on me now:
My Saviour is Jesus the King,
His life and his death are mine now!
This work you in goodness began,
Your strength will complete to the end.
Committed yourself to this man,
And no-one you hold is condemned;
Though all were to argue the case
And war be unleashed for my soul,
Your mind won’t be changed – it’s your choice –
You love me and will make me whole.
It’s you that have written my name
Deep into the palm of your hand;
I’m kept in your heart and remain –
No force can throw me from your land!
Yes, I to the end shall endure –
You gave me your Spirit as proof!
I know that my heart is secure,
As all who are kept in your truth.
