This is an altered version of “Guide me, O Thou Great Jehovah”.  It is in 87.87.47, and I’d recommend using the tune called “Cwm Rhondda” for it.

Guide me, Yahweh, our Great Saviour

Guide me Yahweh, our great saviour,
Pilgrim through this fruitless land;
I am weak, but you are mighty,
Hold me with your powerful hand;
Bread of heaven,
Feed me till I need no more.

Open, please, the crystal fountain
Where the healing stream does flow;
Let your fiery, cloudy, pillar
Lead me all my journey through;
Strong deliverer,
Please be still my strength and shield.

When I reach the edge of Jordan,
Tell my anxious fears to go;
You’ll end death, and bring down Satan,
You will guide me through my woe;
Songs of praises,
I will ever give to You!
