Commander Yahweh Reigns

Commander Yahweh reigns
His throne is built on high,
He chooses to appear
In shining majesty;
His glories burn with such great light
No mortal eye can bear the sight!

The thunders of his hand
Keep the wide world in awe;
His wrath and justice stand
To guard his holy law.
Where he in love decides to bless,
He always acts in righteousness!

Through all his mighty works
Amazing wisdom shines,
Frustrates the devil too,
Despite his dark designs;
Strong is his arm, and it will do
All that his heart has chosen to!

And will this mighty king
Of glory stoop so low,
That he would be for me
My father who I know?
I love his word, I love his ways,
Join all my power to sing his praise!
